Art Update!

Here is a new piece that I recently did for my good friends at MechaCon. This art, featuring our heroines Jett and Zee standing atop their mechanical warrior, G.E.A.R.E., is going to be used on promotional post cards to help spread the word about next year's convention, which will be held again right here in New Orleans! MechaCon 2011 will be the best and biggest yet! Mark your calendars!!!

For more information visit www.mechacon.com. See you there!

TRON: LEGACY

Well, we went last night for the midnight showing of TRON Legacy, in 3-D IMAX, of course. What else can I say, other than it was everything I hoped it would be. My expectations were as high as they could be, and the movie met all those expectations with flying colors.

As a HUGE fan of the original movie, I realised there were things that were going to be different in this one, such as programs shattering when they de-rez instead of disappearing in a digital flash, but this is a newer system, or "grid", than the first movie. So it makes sense that some things, including physics and various other properties of the virtual Tron world would be different, for example.

Anyway, like I said, I had high hopes for TRON Legacy and I still was blown away by its awesomeness. Can't wait to see what happens in the next one! (hopefully they'll bring Laura back into the story)

END OF LINE. :-)

Tools of the Trade

Well I finally bit the bullet, and got a Wacom Cintiq pen display. This thing is just incredible, and truly has to be experienced first hand to be fully appreciated. Hands-on drawing, with no need to scan. Increasing productivity. Improving work quality. The old Intuos was great, and I had many years of valuable service out of it, but nothing beats the true hands-on feel of having the pen right on the drawing surface like the Cintiq does. It's an amazing device, no doubt, and I am so glad to finally have one to use full time.

Rex of URL

Hey all, anyone still here?

Wow... Way over a year since I kicked this thing off (then let it collect dust all over again).

So today is a new horizon, as I have finally registered a domain, as a first step to having my own functioning website without having to rely exclusively on deviantArt, MySpace, Facebook, etc as an official home on the web for my art and other whereabouts.

So here it is, this page is now, finally the official home of www.robbymusso.com .

...and there was much rejoicing. Yayyyyyyyyyy
